Nice touch with the indoor light. Is this set up as a sepia tone? Well done.

About the beginning of June the swarm of pick-ups would kick up dust around the parking lot of the nearby local farmers' co-op.Half wound down dust smeared windows barking with dogs. And the fresh smell of manure and straw trailing in through the front door.Opening to a bright cavern of tools and fertilizer bags heaped beyond comprehension.
But what I remember are the cheeping brown cardboard flats by the front cash.Like any 12 year old I stood there puzzled at the queer sounds.Until one of the clerks spun by and gingerly lifted away the cover for nod and grunt from one of the leather tanned potato faces.Huddled by the dozen or more was a cuddling chorus of yellow fluff. Those baby chicks melted my heart.
And strangely enough some years later, I reflected upon that incident as one of those helpless innocents in our country church. My small frame peering up from the pews with a warbling voice with the rest of the cheepers.Bathed by the comfort of divine morning light. And the warmth of good people surrounding me.It was a happy box to spend a brief moment in before time shepherded our lives into different directions.

may comfort shine long through all of your days :-) V!

Excellent handling of the light and sharp, architectural details.
