Something Blue

Blue skies would have been nice for the weekend challenge but they haven't been seen around here for a few days. So to chase away the mid-winter blues (I always find this time of year most depressing - the excitement of Christmas is over and spring has yet to arrive) I had some afternoon tea in my new mug. There's a saying that 'bad luck comes in three' and sure enough the handles of three of the mugs which match the plate all fell off within a few days. Admittedly one had landed on the granite worktop but I put my hand in the washing up basin to lift out another to find I was just holding a handle. I guess I can't complain too much as I had bought them in an outlet shop so perhaps the handle was their weakness.

A cosy and inviting still life, in that most lovely of colours. And at least you had one mug left for this image. V

Delightful - blue is a wonderful colour. Not a fan of sky drab gray am I though! So bright colours and warm drinks are a sure fire way to make the grays turn to blue.

Substandard products also come in threes! Or, indeed, however many you buy. I have the opposite problem; too many mugs accumulated over the years. Actually, that may well be a PAD. But to this one, the blues generate anything but. It tends to speak of bright, summery colours. It'll be there soon enough, and then you'll be wondering why the year is disappearing so rapidly. (Again, with January all but gone already.)
