Robin to the Rescue.

Now that the weather has turned cold, we've got lots of visitors to the bird feeders - sparrows, blue tits, great tits, robins, finches and blackbirds.
Usually they fly away as soon as I open the front door but this robin kindly posed for me before flying off.

a plump and perky little chap...the robins here are larger with different colouring, and interestingly their scientific name is 'turdus migratorius'..

What a gorgeous robin capture!!! We had dinner with friends in England who told us that it's good luck to send Christmas cards with robins on them! :) V

How agreeable of him to pose for you! My favourite bird in the world. I remember the nursery rhyme my grandmother would repeat in the winter "the north wind doth blow and we shall have snow, and what will the robin do then, poor thing..." It always made me so sad, as I have adored these chubby red birds since I was a few years old! VV

A really nice shot - your robins are quite different than ours which I find interesting.
