Stressful weather

I generally don't stress very much but if there's one thing I find stressful it's the weather. Irish weather is generally fairly benign. We don't get earthquakes, hurricanes or tornadoes. We are, however, famous for our rain and this year has been particularly wet. As a photographer and dog owner I find it very frustrating when it rains and I can't get out and about.
A few minutes after this photo was taken, it began to teem rain, bringing an end to my photo trip in the Cooley mountains.

But what a super shot you got out of it! I love this very atmospheric shot. Reminds me of living on the west coast of Canada, rain, rain and more rain~ V

Well, you got a lovely view here Mairead...looking down and seeing the rain arriving.

But just imagine what it would be like if you didn't get the rain. Somehow 'The Sienna Brown Isle" doesn't have the same ring to it..

Thank you for sharing this captivating photo. Keep posting your beautiful pictures of Ireland -- it's one place I would love to visit, but probably won't ever have the money to do it :-(

Love the winding road, but that thick blanket of rain is depressing.

Very dramatic landscape. Love the way the road winds through it. I don't mind a little rain but every day would get to me too. V.

Yes! Whoever painted that center line must have been stressed, too.

This will be our summer again say's the weatherman...however a decade or more of drought preceded last summer so you wont here me complain...at least not for the first week... It made a pretty calming picture, Mairead

Great lines, shame your photoshoot and dog walk where cut short
J. Scott Coile04-Nov-2011 20:27
Been doing it for me the past few days.
Brian Samuel04-Nov-2011 20:12
I feel your frustration, on the other hand it is good to have a weather system that rarely kills people. The lines in the road are really very good. I want to know where the road to the left goes.
