Windfalls

We've got two big old apple trees in our garden. They were planted by my grandfather. possibly a 100 years ago. We just let them get on with it and most years we are rewarded with a fine crop of cooking apples.
There's also a pear tree but unfortunately it produced rock hard fruit.

A wonderful story of the old apple tree carrying on family history. I imagine that would make the apples taste even better. Lovely image.

Very rustic. From the ingredients I'm anticipating some warm spiced cider.
