I'm heading out tonight to meet two of my oldest (sorry dearest) friends. I've known them
for the best part of my life at this stage. I first met one of them when we were pony-obsessed
teenagers at school and met the other when I returned to Dundalk after college. Although we've
been separated when they have moved away at different times, we always kept in touch and
now meet up for coffee most weeks when we chat about our lives, families, politics, the
state of the nation and, erm, fashion.
'Lets Go Out Tonight' is one of my favourite songs. I first heard it when it was used to
wonderful effect on 'Six Feet Under'. That prompted me to buy the soundtrack which in
turn lead me to discover the music of Paul Buchanan, Craig Armstrong and Evan Dando.
