AKA Big Fat Sun

I am not a morning person. I don't do sunrises. Normally I am slumbering peacefully in my bed when the sun is
casting his golden rays over the land.
The one advantage of the shortening winter days, however , is that the sun and I find ourselves getting up around the same time. According to a handy on-line calendar which I've just found thanks to google, I discovered that the two of us got up the same time this morning.
Noticing the beautiful golden light streaming into the bathroom, I decided that I would take advantage of Mr Sun's late arising to catch a picture of him, so after putting on the kettle and popping my porridge in the microwave, I nipped outside and took this shot across the fields. I know it probably would have been better if I had driven up the road to
shore but I didn't want burnt porridge.
