Nice photo of a Cooper's Hawk. There quite common around our neighborhood. Jean has one that's always stalking her Martin's. Great catch.

A gosshawk? We get all kinds of raptures here for the winter too.

He is looking very intently at something. And look at his talons! Good catch! V.

Uh oh! Looks like he found something! I had one that terrorized the birds in my yard regularly this summer. He is gone now, maybe gone south to stay with you for a while.

Wow.. one of your famous "fence" shots! No apple today, I guess he wouldn´t like it! Great shot and so interesting story! We don´t have here hawks coming, just sparrows! :) V.

Keep all the little creatures in--tiny dogs, cats etc. Hawks will get them. I wonder what he's found.

Excellent photo. many hawks migrate through Connecticut, Lighthouse Point near here is well know for hawk migration counting events.

I've seen a lot here too. Maybe that is why no birds are coming to my feeder either. Great capture!!!
