A common but very beautiful bird replaced the Siberian Rubythroat in my top list, notwithstanding my difficulty in finding and capturing the latter. The golden, late afternoon light, the sweet background of leaves dissolving into a creamy bokeh of distant out-of-focus pond water, the perfect timing of the shutter press, and the superb optics of the Sigmonster even at this extreme distance of 40 meters all came together to produce this favorite capture.
