About the 6 Main Galleries:
1. Bird Galleries by Location - a fast moving gallery that contains photos from each birding sortie, older ones are in the Archives.
2. Selected Philippine Endemic Birds - this contains my current best photos of birds found only, or nearly only, in the Philippines.
3. My Best Resident and Migrant Birds - I created this gallery as repository of my best captures of non-endemic birds.
4. My Favorites - contains hundreds of my favorite bird photos grouped loosely in taxonomical order, including some animated bird pics.
5. Philippine Endemics - contains representative photos of birds found only or nearly only in the Philippines.

Great job!!! I've seen a lot of these when I hunt in our Bataan forests and swamps but I never thought of taking pictures like this. I share my experiences with my kids but these pictures would help them visualize the real world. I'll bring my own camera from now on...and start shooting them with camera NOT by GUN. May to July is the breeding Season of Kanugtogs... nice Gallery...

I think you dont have 1 yet.. its like a big moorehen (uwis) longer red crown almost similar to the swamphen at the back... visit palayan city nueva ecija... we have thousands of philippine duck

Hi Romy, I believe we saw a Kingfisher when my family & I went on a vacation in Caylabne Bay, Ternate, Cavite. To top it all, we were able to see some swallows, herons & eagle also (there's even an eagle observation deck at the place). If I have more time, I would like to join your group so I will have more opportunities to enjoy & delight in seeing the beautiful endemic and non-endemic birds that we see here in our country. More power!

Im Lushela Son from Tabunan Cebu, daughter of Mr. Lucresio "OKING" Son,we are base from the tabunan forest cebu, have you been there in my place or have we ever met you in person, i really like your photos of the birds since then my father was a tour guide for tabunan forest too, i was able to visit you website thru jacques comolet tirman of france who happened to be our friends too through birdwatching also.
ill see it more when i finds time with my father i will tel my father about ur site...see yeah...goodluck!!!

These are the most amazing photos. I wil continue to look at them for sometime. I'm about to buy a Canon 450D & looking at buying the 55-250MM IS lens or the 70-300USM IS lens. Of course a big difference in price but with the 70-300mm I can also use a 2XTC not psooible with the 55-250mm. Do you have any advise

hi sir romy. i'm marco scharer, a UPLB forestry student. My prof and friend JC Gonzalez mentioned about you since im a bird photography fan ..im really amazed with birds. I just recently got a pair of binoculars and am just startin to birdwatch in makiling..i've only seen so far the red-crested malkoha, lesser coucal (very beautiful), the philippine hawk-owl, purple-throated sunbird, pygmy flowerpecker, balicassiaos and some shrikes. hoping to see a lot more birds especially endemic ones..good work..i really love your pictures..splendid..keep up the good work..it's sad that when Fisher made his book, you hadn't started your blog, sana ung pics mo nlagay dun kc ang ganda talalga..btw, JC mentioned u have a new book..where can i get a copy? thanks and more power!

Nice pictures wish that i can help in preserving birds in the philippines.wen i cheked the internet about lepord cats in cebu they keep saying that it's extink there or extirpated thre but i disagre in july 8 i saw one in the forest wile i was hiking .My dad allso saw one in 1992 wile he was driving in the forest.

Hi Romy, I'm in 'AWE' in front of such quality shots ! Also surprise to find quite slow shutter speed shots you're using frequently. This will open me the door to different ways of doing it. Also jealous of your lens line-up, LOL, you lucky you !

the most powerful, most intense and unbelievably gwapo Philippine raptor around... You can't possibly have a Phil. Endemic without the Philippine Eagle! hehehe! =) but all your pics are really cool!
