I think what makes this pic stand out even more are the soft tones...I could be hard light and vivid whites but this way the eye travells through your past somehow...:)

LOL! I'm not so sure you have found what you are looking for Al Li but you've definately realised the enormity of what you took on!! This is a great visual interpretation of being humbled and I think it's a superb shot. I love the use of the toes BTW! A very big V from me!

I like the position of the toes, so many ways to interpret them - shyness? hesitation? momentary lack of confidence? humility? Another masterpiece, well done and voted - you are a real artist.

Awwwww, thanks so much, my apology for not noticing this shot was delicated to me. I am honoured. And yes, love feet shots and toes even. Someday, I have to take a shot of my toes maybe. One of my toes turn black months ago, I am glad they are normal now. LOL. So hopefully I would take some toes shot when they are CLEAN, LOL. :) Thanks again AL. :)

I was trying to say that If these are actually photo albums and photographs, (the books and papers appear ambiguous) it would add appropriate context for your accomplishments as a photographer. The image is well abstracted by frame and vantage point as well. I wonder how this would look in color -- perhaps the flesh colored feet would be emphasized to a greater degree than they are in black and white? While this photograph does not have the tremendous emotional impact of the first two images, it offers a nice change of pace to the gallery, and for me, anyway, gets it back on course again as a series of self portraits.

The expression of the toes makes me feel either humbled or almost bashfull. I love the scattered books and paper on the ground, a reminder that sometimes I think I have found myself, only later to think I am someone else. Will, we or I every really find and make peace with our inner child....one can only hope. Thank you for this wonderful image, and making me take a second look at myself~

Expressive,meaningful,interpretive. I love the curled up toes and how how you arranged the photo albums (childhood memories?) and the couple of photos turned downward so we can can only imagine what pictures they may be. I am loving this gallery of yours,Ai Li!!

Even feet can speak - it`s a part of body language...it seems the photo albums on the floor contains pictures of your childhood...and the pose of your feet could be a indication for that...like a curious child.

Great one; the thing that has impressed me with this one is how it's set up; the line of the floorboard, the floor itself, the books (photo albums?) and the feet...collectively it looks fantastic.

Meaningful, maybe those turned toes are the joy of the discovery, of photography and yourself..I haven't found myself yet, but then again, self-discovery is like a mirage...when you think you have got there, you realise you actually have so much further to go...the images in this gallery make me feel that way about my photography ;-))K
