IMG_6788_2.JPG

East Boothbay, ME

This image was created in response to this week's challenge, "Same images: B&W and Color".

Since the "blur and color" challenge two weeks ago, I have experimented a little with processing that I called "watercolor". One image, I took yesterday, seemed to have enough tones to be just right for B&W, so I thought I would give it a try.

I find the monochrome version very moody and excellent done.

B&W for sure

The color is nice, but this is a photo that does very well in B&W. It's my choice. Nice combo.

I like the B&W, but the reflection in the colour makes that one the winner for me. Well done.

I prefer the b&w TOO . . . BUT Scott has a point about how smooooooooooth the blue is

I like the B & W best too. Nice calming view with the boat, smooth water and land.
Cindi Smith19-Jun-2009 02:41
I'm not sure....I like them both but the B&W does show a little more mystery.

Lovely shot. The composition is great and it works both ways.

I like the BW , but that blue does give it some punch

Nice and rich in B&W. That blue is so smooth in color.
