These are mostly images of Maine: from coast to mountains. But there are other galleries here as well; especially since we moved to DC in late 2010. Until Dec 2009, when I got a DSLR, all photos were taken with a little digital point and shoot camera. Now, I use my iPhone, or my point and shoot, or my DSLR -- sometimes I just don't want to be loaded down with equipment and the iPhone let's me be very spontaneous. Most of my older images have not have been cropped or altered (I used to say "none" but I started to play with very basic altering of images, at first in a separate gallery, and now I add them to main galleries without prejudice). In general I like to try to take a photo as if I would not make alterations -- it has served to teach me to keep focused on composition, color and light, shape and texture, and how I might use the camera to capture what I want to share and express.
