Elm sawfly with parasites by larose forest photos

This poor little elm sawfly has internal parasites, as can be seen by the two black splotches inside it, but visible through the skin.

It indeed looks well-fed and not yet badly affected by the parasites - I guess the parasites do better if their host is well fed.
