Blister beetle (Epicauta)

Photographed near the Ottawa River. You can see this insect has been visiting milkweeds because of the yellow pollen sac or pollinia, on one of its feet.

OMG ~ I saw one of these in Oklahoma 2 weeks ago! The farmer told me about them and then he crushed it with his foot.... I'll send you a photo of it.
