Ragweed Leaf beetle (Zygogramma suturalis) on Beggarticks

Found this handsomely black and white beetle at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. I have been looking at ragweed plants for some time hoping to see this species, and finally was rewarded. This beetle is indigenous to North America, and has been considered a bio-control agent for ragweed. However, I'm not sure how well it is able to limit the spread of ragweed as I see lots of plants wherever I go, and this is the first beetle I've found. And in fact, this was not on ragweed, but on Beggarticks (Bidens), although there was ragweed right around this plant.

He's very pretty. I've never seen this lovely patterned beetle but I have a lot of ragweed nearby so I'll look. V.
