Super ending with that qoute! Thanks for many imaginations you gave us this month!

This is for you!

Darkened cobwebbed dusty corner
spiders luring across their border
Woven web around my brain
pulling me down delusion's drain

Flickering candles, fingers tempting
tantalizing silhouettes, some are penting
In the mask of night, my mind will wander
imagination's tricks, they fool and plunder

Laying here, upon this bed
window tapping, in my head
Looking up and looking round
many creatures I have found

Night's windy rustling rusted nails
scratching, searching curtain rails
Blind's slatted, clank-ed tatted tat
skulking demon, cat or rat

As moon curves around the earth
spindled talons, claw my worth
Razor sharp eyes, piercing red
nerves of water, dripping, bled

Scurrying, creaking, sounds of dark
whispering, gnawing, lonely, stark
Owls are swooping, foxes trooping
weary, frightened, eyes begin drooping

As imagination crosses into sleep
a world of dream, replaces creep
But as I slumber in my lonely home
things will walk, while creatures roam

Those eyes are mesmerizing. Terrific artful craftsmanship to capture them so brilliantly. I love the way the eyes are set off in the 'blackness' yet you can still see the outline of the cat. The quote is so true. BV

That's astonishing; it's like the eyes are just hanging in space. (I believe that there are actually more smiles in the northern hemisphere BECAUSE it's over, and spring is on its way...)
