Preparation for a protest

May 2009: Thai soldiers and police were on the streets of Bangkok in anticipation of a protest against the meeting of the Asean health ministers, who were in Bangkok to discuss a possible epidemic of H1Ni flu virus in Southeast Asia. Fortunately, no protest developed. These photos were taken around the Dusit Thani Hotel, on Silom Road between Rama 4 and Saladang Roads, where the meeting was being held.
