Further to my comment below, I saw two cardinals (at least I think that's what they were) in my front yard this morning, although they weren't red like this -- maybe females?

This made me smile, looking like he's really working hard on that seed. Gorgeous color too. I have never seen a cardinal in person (which I hope this is ;-)).
