Perpetual Motion

Wish the picture had been sharper, but the kid was quick!!
PS: After Bill's comment, I wanted to clarify that I did blur the kid purposely, but the rest of the image is not as sharp as I would like. I had to react by bringing my camera up quickly because I saw the shot potential - but he ran around me pretty fast as I was walking toward the arch.

I agree with Phil...the moment is almost always greater than the movement Jenene...lovely colours. K

You don't need sharpness here, Jenene. The image might have even benefited if the camera had moved along with the person, intensifying the sense of motion. As it stands, it does all you asked of it.

The colors are very nice. I like the overall blur. It adds a bit of softness to the picture as well as enhances the motion.

Did you get your purse back???
Guest 23-Feb-2007 05:28
Panning can be succesful with blur. Here you have moved to catch the kid, and that's part of the story. For me, that's the goal of photography, as opposed to get it right from a technical point of view. I like the splash of blue in the splash of pink.
