'Women of Gaza'

From the “Women of Gaza” series by Tanya Habjouqa, born in Jordan and based in Jerusalem: “Another example from the series shows an educated young woman that the photographer met at the local university, swinging through the air at her uncle’s farm. She cannot go anywhere other than in her mind or on a private swing, yet she embraces the moment of pleasure and the sensation of pleasure."

I will be away from Pbase for most of today because our storage shipments from Virginia and Antwerp will be delivered to our house. We’re hoping some of our furniture survived six years in non A/C storage so we can move back into our house and camp out until our household effects arrive from Riyadh, probably at the beginning of September. In all honesty, living in a hotel for all this time is bankrupting us! Anyway, I will catch up when I can.
