Braeside Park is a large, natural area with three very distinct environments wetlands, heathland and red gum woodland.
The park is a peaceful interlude with the surrounding busy urbanity.
The years of drought has also a big strain on the eucalyptus trees, they die because of the increasing salinity of the soil.
The landscape looks green due to the winter rain, but it doesn’t mean that the drought is over.
