Let's Dance!

My entry for the Thursday Challenge:

Vietnamese People's Navy: " Never Miss a Chance"

Dance your little socks off with this refreshing blend of lighthearted pop, tinkling disco and better costumes than the Scissor Sisters!

VIETNAMESE PEOPLE'S NAVY

"(or, commonly, Vietnamese Navy) is part of the Vietnamese People's Armed Forces and is responsible for the protection of national waters, islands, and interests of the maritime economy, as well as for the coordination of maritime police, customs service and the border defense force." (Wikipedia)

NEVER MISS A CHANCE

" HIGGINS
[becoming excited as the idea grows on him] What is life but a series of inspired follies? The difficulty is to find them to do. Never lose a chance: it doesnt come every day. I shall make a duchess of this draggle-tailed guttersnipe.

LIZA
[strongly deprecating this view of her] Ah-ah-ah-ow-ow-oo! "

from: George Bernard Shaw: Pygmalion

(and yes, i got a word wrong... but I aint do it all again, no! )

and yes yes, it is still film - a 2004 scanned Kodakcolor shot of the Ngahtatgyi Pagoda in Rangoon, Burma. No digital till Easter! I edited it a bit in Photoshop, though, but that;s considered design, innit?

Namaste! When my random band name came up, I immediately thought of 'In the Navy' by the Village People - and George Bernhard Shaw helped me to put a positive, happy-go-lucky slant on it. I was thinking bastard child of the Village People and Scissor Sister with some groovy Asian samples.
