Agree with Maireread, here in the Bay Area, a 16-17 year old escaped his captors who were friends of his "aunt" and ran into a gym with strangers to get help...he had on only boxer shorts and an ankle restraint chain. The people 'guardians' are in jail, the aunt had a medical emergency when arrested is in the hospital. All charged with beating, torture, etc... The strangers gave him a banana and water while waiting for police to arrive...the emaciated kid wolfed it down... He went to the hospital and is in protective custody...

Funny how we warn our kids of 'stranger danger' yet sadly
most kids are abused/injured by family members/friends.
