Here are two I broke:
(1) Decades ago.
When I had just turned 18, legal age in my country.
My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate the end
Of his bachelor’s degree in a way we would remember.
We chose a beach in the exotic Caribbean
Where the sand and the warm sea met under the stars and the sun.
My parents would have “never” accepted if I had not made
A little…white lie saying I was also going there with a bunch of girls
Beside my boyfriend of two years. Of course, the girls were fiction…
This flight I will never forget, it was my christening of the air.
My love for airplanes and travelling began on that memorable day…
I even thought at one point we were stuck in the Bermuda triangle,
I am still laughing of the commotion I had caused ;) my nose against
The window and saying look, we are not moving, we are stuck in the heart of the triangle!
Once reassured I could not let go of the breathtaking view of the clouds
Everything was perfect, I was young expanding my horizon
With all the confidence and dreams a 18 old can have…
The week was magical
Shhhh,
Don’t tell my parents…
(yes, it is me at barely 18, reflecting on life,
a picture taken by
my "beau" of the time...
from a 200mm, while i was still waiting
for him at our rendez-vous point)
(2) Rule number two broken:
ehm…this is not a freshly taken picture for the weekly challenge…
i am experiencing a bit of a glitch with my camera...
BUT i took this picture of my picture and post-processed it
a little while ago...
Footnote: We celebrated the end of his M.Sc in Canary Island,
California for the PhD - but nowhere for the divorce ;)
more years later ...
