Oriental Pied Hornbill

(anthracoceros albitrostris)
Although overshadowed for impact by the Great Hornbill this is a large impressive bird with its black and white plumage and its heavy casque. Photographs taken in Khao Yai National Park, the first two in a fruiting fig tree and the other two distantly digiscoped near the Hew Suat waterfall where a bird was feeding its mate in the nest hole.
