Primeval Dawn

Quiraing, Skye, Scotland.

The richest most evocative light often makes its presence felt at the extreme ends of the day and this could not be truer at this spot overlooking the Quiraing on the Isle of Skye. The most sumptuous October light splashed its honey colour across a velvet carpet of green dashed with rust red bracken the result like something from the prehistoric ages. Its great to get back to fine light again, the essence of my photography and Transient Light in particular.

Very lovely Ian. I am impressed to see you take these pictures from such high places with that Pentax - a weighty beast! One small criticism if I may is that the ND grad has taken away the detail from the peak in the middle distance but I know there is no way around this. Bill.
