Very creative and thought provoking set of images; I agree with Phil Douglis' comments. Also the work allows you to use these posters etc. as a graphic tool. There is a lot of simple visual/graphic impact of the images that greatly transcend the posters, which are often background props. Super!

You have posted over a thousand images here, Henry, and everyone one of them incongruously juxtaposes advertising to real life, amusing us and expressing meaning in the process. Some of your images are intended as sight gags and are amusing if just for the extreme contrasts in scale and content. Others are more substantive, adding a layer of social commentary that expresses ideas. Maybe it's just your selective eye at work, but Hong Kong seems to be literally awash in erotic advertising, all of it fighting for our attention. By intentionally removing many of these ads from their context as advertising, you make them even more incongruous when paired with unaware pedestrians. You might want to also consider possibly editing this huge collection, and create the "Best of Post No Bills," choosing one percent -- or about 100 images -- to represent the whole. You have enough here to make sure that each of those 100 images would tell entirely different stories. It would be a delight, and easier for viewers to grasp at a sitting. You have created a delightful resource here, Henry, a virtual encyclopedia of incongruous juxtaposition. I am suggesting a visit to this gallery in the introductions to my own galleries on incongruity and juxtaposition at http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/travel_incongruities and http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/juxtaposition Your Post No Bills Gallery is a valuable resource, and I want my own students to study your ideas and learn from them.

To me you show the absurdity of advertising. A beautifull par of legs are nice to watch but after a while of repetition it gets on your nerves and you start to question: what's so beautifull about it; it's just a tease. And get the idea of ripping all the posters down....forever...
