Crazy DC weather

This is what we woke up to this morning, something like 4-6 inches of snow, again. In recent years, we’ve hardly had any snow in DC, but this year, we’ve had two major snowstorms, after an abnormally hot autumn.

I can totally relate to the title of this image. This maze of snow covered decks and trees seems so familiar right now. Queenie seems unsure of the situation and maybe waiting to get back inside where it is warm. Great capture and one for the memory book. My daughter and her family are dealing with this same weather in Arlington. V+

Looks like a typical Ottawa scene Helen. We just had another 16 inches of the white stuff. Looks great though.

Fun! We still have a pack of 9" with more on the way.

Very nice, here we only had some snow in the northern part of the country. In my area just rain and wind #globalwarming ! V
Charlene Ambrose13-Feb-2025 07:43
Oh my. Well it's prettier than our rain.

Good thing Queenie has a robust coat.

We don't have that much snow, I kind of wish we did. Queenie doesn't seem to be enjoying it.

Be careful on those stairs!

I was just thinking, seeing this shot, "snow again!". It is pretty though, and Queenie does look at home in it with her thick coat. V

Like marshmallow topping. She doesn’t look like she enjoys it. V

Looks like Tim is going to have to clear out a place for Queenie. We got snow today, too, but less than what was being predicted. Pretty scene.
Nick Paoni12-Feb-2025 21:34
It sure looks pretty. Not sure what Queenie thinks of it though.

Looks like you're having a long winter. Hope Queenie enjoys the snow.

Oh poor Queenie. All her favourite sniffing spots will be covered. We're expecting 30-40 cm (11-16 inches) tonight and tomorrow. Haven't had that much at once in a few years.

Wow, so much snow! Just adds to the current DC craziness! At least snow is quiet...
