Not what it looks like

Saudi Arabia is a very Muslim country, and of course pork isn’t available here. But I did a double take when I saw these beef slices in a local supermarket. I could have sworn it was bacon until I read the package.

It does look like bacon, but redder. I wonder if it tastes similar. It's interesting how they have substitutes for many items, like beer. V
