We drove west of Salalah, to Al Mughsail, a small fishing village which Lonely Planet says has “Oman’s most spectacular bay, ending in a set of sheer cliffs that reach towards the Yemeni border.” These were the start of the cliffs that stretch south to Yemen, which I’d absolutely love to visit but can’t because of the dangerous security situation. Unfortunately, the air was very dusty from a sandstorm near Salalah.
