For the first time in my life, I think, I went to a car show! I normally wouldn't have even noticed the advert for it, in a magazine I never get except for this one edition, except that I've been so impressed with car galleries by Dan Greenberg https://pbase.com/dlgphoto and others on Pbase that I decided it might be fun to see and try to photograph. I realized once there that I didn't have a clue how to approach photographing cars -- the people, the lights, the perspectives I thought would be striking but weren't, the reflections and me in them -- but it was a good challenge all the same and quite a spectacular collection of vehicles. And it was held in the roundhouse of the Hungarian Railroad Museum https://pbase.com/helenpb/trains -- a museum I had never even heard of but absolutely adored. I couldn't figure out why I kept tripping on things in the floor until my husband told me it was a real roundhouse with rails under the tarp ;-). It was a very instructive day.
