Two images;
Top Image: Juvenile Night Heron looking for lunch. Note the thick layer of Duck Weed and also, the Painted Turtle popping to the surface in the lower left corner. It is amazing that the Heron can detect any prey at all below the thick cover of Duck Weed - but it does, as you can see in the Image below which was taken at a slightly different spot.
