Perfect lens for me!! Ultra fast focussing! Exceedingly sharp! Works like a dream with the D700 and 1.7TC II (510mm Equivalent). It's a beautiful thing.

Possibly the best and sharpest lens I have ever owned. My absolute favourite. So much so that I am considering getting the 400mm as well. With a 1.4x teleconverter it's a 420mm with no loss of quality and only a stop of light loss. Simply and absolutely superbe - yes, with an 'e' on the end!
