talk about taking 'the road less traveled'...highway 6, in the Selkirk Mountains, and skirting Slocan Lake (seen here south of Silverton), and subsequently along and across Arrow Lake, looked like the obvious route north from Nelson...yet during several hours travel there were hardly any other cars...just as well though, as with the many climbs, descents, and sharp corners, it was a challenging enough drive...lots of scenic views were passed due to a lack of opportunity to pull off the road...at this high point it was possible to safely put the Nikonmobile to the side, at least somewhat
