10/22/07 - Woodland Stripes

A 9-shot multiple exposure shot from a hillside above the trees - looking into the mid-section of their trunks. I normally prefer to include the base of the trees in images of this type, but decided to try something *new* given the opportunity. (*New* would be rotating it 90 degrees which I just thought of and tried - interesting. Something for another day.)

Nikon D70
1/4s f/5.6 at 56.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wonderful painterly quality and I also like the colour tones!

Beautiful textures, hues and light. Great composition*. The repetition of a multiple exposure isn't at all obvious. This looks like a wonderful charcoal and pastel painting.

*There's weight at the bottom, so I don't miss the base of the trees at all.

Beautiful, like burnished metal. Love the depth and hues. v
