I found a menu from the 7 Seas Restaurants Marine Cocktail Lounge in my parents memory pictures. Would you like it? I'd be more than happy to send.

This restaurant was owned by my dad, T.J. "Buddie" Galatis and his two sisters. I have wonderful memories of this unique piece of Miami history. I don't recall being a hell raiser in the fifties, but I sure had fun!

7 Seas used to have a giant 400 to 600 lb. tuna in a glass showcase visible from the sidewalk.

The Galatis family owned this restaurant. They lived on Placetas Ave in the Riviera section of Coral Gables. Their son, Michael, Mike Galatis was a hell raiser in the 50's.

I believe the theaters were the Royal and the Embassy, both owned by Claughton and closed in the mid-50s. They were demolished and replaced by the First National Bank building.

This was a great restaurant. It was owned by friends of my family. We went there often and used to see many of the stars who appeared at the old Olypia Theater stage show. What great memories I had of it and the Olympia.

I believe this was located on the corner of SE First Street at 2nd Ave. The movie theatres were the Claughton and the Embassey, both owned by Ed Claughton until they were torn down in the late 70's. The photo would be looking SE toward the mouth of the Miami River. The Brickell Ave. Bridge would be just to the right, out of the photo.

The best seafood salad ever! Chunks of fresh Lobster and Stone Crab meat blended together softly in Hellmans mayonnaise infused with chopped celery. Wedges of tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs surrounding the blended seafoods on a bed of crushed ice in a tall compote glass. Lemon wedges on the side. My first event of falling in love with the idea of gourmet culinary efforts. Dr D A Hanson

My mom used to take my brother and I every Saturday to have lunch at the Seven Seas. After that she would take us to one of the two together movies around the area where the dupont plaza building used to be. I have many fond memories of those days. Miami was very different then.
