Welcome back in time to a visual treat of old sights from when we were young during great times in South Florida. This site is free, we're open 24/7/365 and you don't have to travel to downtown Miami, pay per person admission fees plus parking charges during limited daily hours of operation.

All of the photo galleries and the photos below are dedicated to those of us Baby Boomers who grew up in Miami and South Florida in the 1950's and 60's; to the members of America's "Greatest Generation" before us who served during World War II training at numerous military facilities in South Florida and returning to settle here after the war; and to those hardy folks who lived in South Florida before them because they were the true pioneers of this area. Virtually all of us thought the Miami area was an absolutely great place to grow up and I'm fed up with reading garbage written by folks who say that Miami was "nothing but a sleepy little town in a swamp that was dead in the summer" until they arrived decades later and built it into today's major overcrowded city. The photos in these galleries and the comments sent by viewers will help to dispel inaccurate statements by newcomers who have no idea of what life was like in Miami's earlier days.
