Nik, thank you for providing your mom's name which I will add to the description above.
Yes, the HHS principal made an announcement the day before that anyone not present during the afternoon of school during the Beatles arrival would be suspended but it was worth ii because I got to see the Beatles from a distance and I got to ride down there and back in a buddy's (Steve Boemler) MG-A convertible with one of his pretty girlfriends riding on my lap. She died in a car wreck a month or two later and I went to her funeral which was really sad and extremely thought provoking. I forged a note from my dad that I was sick that afternoon and the school did nothing to me. I don't believe anything happened to my buddy Steve either. What were they going to do, suspend a couple hundred kids at each school who skipped to see a historical event?
"kinseeker" who posted on 26-APR-2010, if you give me your name I'll be glad to add it to the description also along with Randy Rhodes. I presume he is to your left as you're looking at the photo?
Don .

My mom (the Gayle Tannenbaum) is the 2nd from the left on the top. I remember this clipping from when I was a kid, but it's been missing for years. Awesome to see it again! Ironically, I'm the bigger Beatles fan.
Hey Dan, my mother got busted after this came out for cutting school that day; how about you guys? :) haha
OMG Dan I am in one of those pictures. I am the tallest boy in the picture on the right. My best friend Randy Rhodes is directly beside me. This was a day Randy and I still talk about when we get together all these years later.
