The Beatles arrived onboard a National Airlines DC-8 from New York and the airport was overwhelmed with thousands of screaming teenagers who parked all over everything after the large parking lot overflowed. The article says that Port Authority Director Alan C. Stewart complained that there was over $2000 in damages to smashed windows, a large smashed plate glass door at the entrance to Concourse 3 (now Concourse F), smashed chairs, etc. and he blamed the radio stations and news media for stirring the teens up. The article also said that it took eight men to hold back teens trying to get out the exit door to the ramp. I was there, on top of Concourse 2 (now G) and it was a riot.
