Thank you to Vanessa Bechter for contributing this great old image of her mom and dad's Dairy Queen before they added Pappee's Restaurant next to it. The Dairy Queen was on the west side of E. 4th Avenue. Vanessa can be seen playing up against the front wall.

This was on the SW corner of East 4th and 43rd Street, my dad was a doctor and his office was three doors south in the small strip mall. I would walk over and get a cone or a shake, when we visited him after school. This must be 1959 or later, that is a 1958 Chevy on the right side of building.

I lived on 43rd as well. From about '64 to '69. But we moved from Miami and then a couple of times in Hialeah. This was a favorite place to ride our Stingrays up to for chocolate dipped cones. I think there was a Farm Stores across the street.

Looked forward to buying a cone every Sunday walking home from First Methodist Church.

My family used to walk to this Dairy Queen in the late 50's early 60's for a treat. We lived on S.E. 4th street and we loved it when our parents would take us there. It was the best walk ever.

Fun times as a child at the Dairy Queen!
