Palm Springs Mile from W. 12th Ave to 7th Ave, Hialeah, Florida

There still wasn't that much development in this section of Palm Springs Mile which was developed by R&R (Russell and Raulerson) from W. 4th Avenue to W. 12th Avenue. McDonald's still hasn't been built on the north side of W. 49th Street at around W. 11th Avenue but the famous Pizza Palace is on the southwest corner of W. 10th Avenue and 49th Street.

Yes, R & R...my developement was built by R & R Homes. Those were really well-built homes, back then. My home at 1021 W. 55th Pl. has now been made into 3 appartments. Went to see the old place about 5 or 6 years ago. I couldn't stop crying...just not the slow, friendly, inviting neighborhood I grew up in, that's for sure.
