Lid End

Does the container miss the lid?
They were probably shooting up 128 together.
All of a sudden a wind gust tore the lid off.
Crashing down to the road the lid broke and tattered.
Only to come to rest by the side of the road.
It may have been driven over a few times.
Covered with salt it sits there thinking of loss.
The container however stayed in the truck.
It got home and found it did not need the lid.
It could still hold its contents just fine.
In fact now that it could breath it was better.
It was easier to get things in an out of itself.
All of a sudden life was fun for the container.
It didn't mind losing the lid at all.

Not a cigar, its a metaphor.
