Just over a year ago,I received a phone call from a design company expressing interest in the use of one of my photos to be used as part of the presentation pack that accompanies a $25 commemorative coin produced by the British Royal Mint on behalf of the Solomon Islands.
Apart from receiving payment, I never heard any more and have been meaning to find out how my photo was used, assuming that it was.
I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from the same design company today asking if the same photo could be used for another version of the coin. But I had to seek out the copy of the agreement to find out whether they would have to make a further payment to me, and looking at it, it seems that I had made that proviso.
Stuck yet again for inspiration, here is my little magnifier resting on the agreement that I drafted out.
I still haven’t seen how my original photo was used, but you can see it HERE on the Airliners.net website.
