October 6 2004:
Cars

There are far too many cars that are either silver or some durky blue or grey colour, so it was cool to see this colourful selection parked in a row. Just wish I had gone for a deeper depth of field, but its done now.

The title celebrates Gary Numan’s 1979 No.1 hit. As an aside, he used to fly a World War 2 Harvard training aircraft from my local field of Fairoaks - that plane is also known as the T-6 Texan and the SNJ in the ‘states.

Photoshop:
Cropped and Resized
Saturation slightly increased
Framed: using #FFFFFF

On 6 October last year; ‘Fountains for Frederiks Kirke’

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
1/320s f/6.3 at 165.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Yeah, black and silver are awfully common. Nice find. And choice of angle.

Your commentary reminds me that I MUST go shoot a airplane parked in front of our Space Museum. Remind me? ;)

I agree with what Danny said..this is about colors and shapes. Like that they are all detailed with the added benefit of raindrops.

Nicely done, Ray. I don't know that greater depth would have contributed more to this image. The shapes and the color are what this about. Very appealing to the optical scanners.

beautiful colors, great angle and a very good composition.

Well spotted Ray, I think the DoF is fine as it is, IMHO. This way you have the blue car as a sole subject, if all three were sharp the interest would be split three ways. Either way, it's a dramatic shot.

Almost an RGB!!

RGB cars. Which one did you buy, Ray? So nice to see bright colors on the gray roads there!
Zak06-Oct-2004 17:18
ok, the green ones a VW Lupo, I think the blue one is a Hyundai Accent and the red one a Ford Mondeo?

nice N colourful anyway! :-)
