November 10 2003:
Metallic Bench

Woking, Surrey

I rather like this seat, which forms part of modern streetscape surrounding an area rich in 'Public Art'. This lunchtime, it was unoccupied probably due to the large droplets of water repelling any potential user.

How nice to find a modern bench that has merit, well, to the eye anyway.
The proof of the bench is in the sitting.
Then along comes a chap and takes a photo of it that does it justice.
Well done Ray.
I would like to see what connects the frame to the post.

Terrific subject, Ray. I like the juxtaposition of the cold, curved, ultra-modern bench with the older warm, angular bricks.

Beautifully composed

Fine shot. This subject might be worth some additional photos.
Different light, different angles. I can see it as a horizontal
composition, too. Depending on the available lamps, as a night shot.
Try it again, and again. This a worthy challenge.

I agree. This is a great shot. I too, admired the way the bench curves along with the brick.

So shiny! So wet! It looks like the far end is dry. Did someone's bottom dry it off, do you think?

I like the way the lines of the bench work with the circular patterns of the bricks. Very nice, and the droplets look great too.
