The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the ASEAN Handicraft Promotion and Development Association (AHPADA) hosts the
1st AHPADA International Arts and Crafts Expo at the SMX Convention and Exhibition Center at the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City,
Philippines on Nov. 22-25, 2007. It is the also the first big event to be held at this venue after the building's recent inauguration.

The Expo is "a good opportunity for the country to showcase its talent as far as arts and crafts is concerned," says former Tourism
Secretary Dr. Mina T. Gabor. "The four-day event will also showcase diverse cultural activities and business opportunities ..."

The UE Silanganan Dance Troupe (UESDT) performs here on Nov. 24, 2007 at 2:00 pm for the ITF organized by the DOT-NCCA.
Its repertoire, under the supervision of choreographer and UE Office of Cultural Affairs Director Gener Caringal, covers indigenous,
regional and national Philippine dances. It also participates in international dance/folklore festivals in Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia.
