These images were shot on couple of trips to London. I wanted to capture the regular train commute that so many people endure day after day either overground on a passenger train or on the London Underground - also known as 'The Tube'. We loved travelling on the tube everywhere when we were vacationing in London. Your BW images are a delight, the faces you meet, the entertainment you get for a small pittance...., fright yes at times, but try travelling the Chicago or New York subways late at night for real fright. Oh yes, the French Subway system is unique in its own right dirty, smelly, and well, different. Aloha

OK - what's you secret? How do you wander the underground taking photos of strangers and not feel uncomfortable. I have tried street photography from time to time, and usually end up copping out. It's really hard, yet you have made it into an art form. Love the photos.

Hello Geoff, This is a fine collection of truely great images. I can almost tell what each person is thinking by the expressions on there faces. Funny how people on public transport will go to the ends of the earth not to draw attention to themselves, you have done a superb job of capturing human nature and showing it b/w works so well. Lucky you stopped by my gallery, otherwise I may never have seen your work. Thanks for sharing and insiring us all.

Amazing sequence of shots, very moody and artistic. You have a marvellous eye for a candid shot. I could have made that trip with camera in hand and not have switched it on once - I simply wouldn't have seen those shots like you did. Great work. -Derek

Thanks for your comments Will. Yes they were taken with the flash off. I think I may get into trouble taking candids one day. I forget how intrusive it can be when I'm behind the camera. Regards, Geoff.

Geoff, you have really caught the mood of tube travel here. I've just put my first few candids up here, and your gallery has really inspired me to go deeper for these! You had some slow shutter speeds here with really good results.
