Taken specifically for the Challenge yesterday morning during our morning constitutional...
..well, here I am deep in Pink Floyd thoughts when I see a flock of doves in the field just ahead. Mmm, there's a possibility there I muse, but just as I frame them up, they take off and circle over us, making that delightful swoooshing noise. More in hope than anything else, I pointed upwards and fired off a couple of shots as they swished and swooshed over us.
I can't say that I know all the Pink Floyd songs off by heart, but I knew that "Point Me To The Sky" would be the best candidate...and so it's turned out!
Edit: d'oh! I forgot the amusing part! As I was taking this shot, I felt something liquidy hit my fingers...yup, they'd only gone and dumped on me! My right hand, DoF preview and the right-hand exterior of the body/lens mount were covered!! But judicious use of a Wet One when we got home sorted that out. Right children, pigeon pie for tea tonight!
