 prinophyllum...

Rhododendron prinophyllum, formerly R. roseum, is found in the wild from southwestern Quebec through New England and northern Ohio, south to the Appalachian Mountains at higher elevations, along stream banks and open woods in USDA Zones 4b to 9a. It was named in 1914, has pink to reddish pink blooms with short tubes on long stems, has a strong cinnamon to clove fragrance, and blooms as the leaves expand. The plant habit is upright to 15 feet.
